Portraits

From professional headshots for your social media, to portraits that make a statement about you, your family, your story. You'll find information under the sections for Fine Art of Portraiture, Social Media, La Familia, Kidz, and Tweens and Seniors.

Weddings & Special Events

I limit myself to a dozen weddings a year - preferably because your family has been a client, or by referral from a client.

A special event is a family reunion, a homecoming, or a retirement ceremony. Look for those pages.

Purr or Bark

Those furry, fuzzy creatures who keep us amused, share space on the couch, and give our families unconditional love. And I've recently come across a treasure trove of costumes we used to use for children during our "Anne Geddes" era! Oh, the ideas I'm having!!

Look for Let Me Lick Your Face. And keep your paws to yourself.

Because "why" we do is more important than "what" we do.

Why does any artist do what they do? Maya Angelou, who wrote I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, once said, “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside of you.” Maybe that’s why I’m an artist, to exercise the agony of untold stories. Or maybe it’s like the first caveman who told a story about hunting bison and deer, before words were written with ochre and charcoal on a cave wall. Maybe I just create to say, “I existed. I lived. I was here.”

I actually became a photographer in my journey as a writer; a friend of mine from theater had a camera, and I thought it would be easier to write about places if I had an image as reference. Little did I suspect that the allure of silver halide crystals would take me on an excursion through the art world, commercial photography, and eventually to the experience of working with thousands of people, recording the most joyous events in their lives.

Forty years later, I am still enamored with writing, and by the story told with a camera, whether it be with pixels or silver.

If you’d like to have me tell your story, contact me, and let’s explore what the next chapter of your life, the next act in your screenplay, should look like.
